Color coded for easy installation the all eSATA connectors are in Red and all SATA connectors are in Black. Both connectors support SATA II, 300MB/S data transfer rates. SATA Connector types:
With the introduction of SATA there was one style of connector, which we show as the "L" type because when you look at the connector closely you will notice the similarity. When the specification for external SATA connectors was added the eSATA type of connector is the "I" type. Many Granite SATA Hot-Swap Systems use the original SATA connector. We manufacture both syles of cables to equal specifications and quality.
